Which crusher to process cobblestone 200 tons per hour

Cobblestone is hard and highly abrasive. Ordinary crushing machines wear out liner plates quickly, produce unstable output and too many flaky finished stones. Drawing on real sand plant projects across China, Shanghai Shibang designs a standard three-stage setup: primary crushing, secondary & fine crushing, and sand shaping for 200 tons per hour cobblestone production. Core machines include PEW European jaw crusher, HPT multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher and VSI vertical shaft impact sand maker, plus feeding and screening equipment. The full line runs steadily at 190–220 tons per hour, making both aggregate and manufactured sand at the same time.

For primary crushing, we use Shibang PEW750×1060 European jaw crusher as the first feed machine. It takes raw cobblestone up to 630 mm in size. Its deep V-shaped crushing chamber leaves no dead space for full-size crushing, with discharge size locked between 100–180 mm. Thick cast steel body, forged heavy eccentric shaft and imported heavy-duty bearings help it stand tough high-pressure cobblestone crushing with little breakdown. Unlike old PE jaw crushers, its wedge-style discharge adjustment needs no extra shims, so workers change output size easily and maintain the machine fast for round-the-clock operation. A ZSW490 heavy-duty vibrating feeder feeds stone evenly and sifts out dirt beforehand to cut useless load and boost crushing efficiency.

Secondary and fine crushing is the heart of this 200TPH line with standard Shibang HPT300 multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher. With laminated crushing technology, stones grind and squeeze against each other inside the chamber. Final aggregates have high cubic content and less than 8% flaky pieces, ready for concrete mixing without extra reshaping. Full hydraulic intelligent control automatically releases pressure and clears foreign metal to stop blockage. Five cavity options allow quick discharge tuning for 5–31.5 mm graded stone, running consistently at 180–210 tons hourly to connect front and back production smoothly.

If clients need high-quality 0–5 mm manufactured sand, add Shibang VSI1145 vertical shaft impact sand maker at the back. Feed size stays below 45 mm with single machine output 80–150 tons per hour. Rock-on-rock crushing cuts wear cost heavily and delivers well-graded sand for construction and batching plants. Matched S5X triple-deck circular vibrating screen sorts finished products into different stockpiles. Oversize stones go back to the cone crusher for re-crushing in closed-circuit production to avoid material waste.

The whole line comes with centralized PLC control for one-click start-stop and remote operation monitoring. Dust collection units meet environmental rules for green mining. Based on three years of running site data, Shibang machines fit river and mountain cobblestone perfectly, feature longer wear part service life and over 10% lower power consumption than cheap alternatives. It is a proven cost-effective and reliable choice for small & medium sand producers targeting 200 tons per hour cobblestone processing.
