How to Check Before Using Cone Crusher?

1.Before starting the cone crusher, check if there are any debris inside the machine and clear them out completely.

2.Check whether the crusher assembly and electrical control circuits are installed correctly. Inspect all connecting parts and fastening bolts to make sure they are tightened evenly and securely.

3.Separate test for the motor: Disconnect the coupling. Turn the motor by hand to see if it rotates smoothly. Jog the motor to confirm its rotation direction. Run the motor continuously for over 4 hours to test its performance (vibration, noise, bearing temperature). No abnormal vibration or noise is allowed, and the bearing temperature must not exceed 60°C.

4.No-load test run: After finishing the motor separate test, reinstall the reducer and coupling. Watch and check these points during empty operation:

Start the cone crusher’s motor at once; all rollers must spin in the same direction; bearing temperature cannot go over 75°C; check if the reducer runs with normal sound.

5.After the no-load test, compare the machine’s condition with its state before testing. Fix any changes and restore the equipment back to its pre-test condition.

That covers the main pre-operation steps for the cone crusher. Do not skip any steps—this preparation ensures stable, smooth work later. Also, regular maintenance is essential and cannot be ignored.
