1. Mining and Transportation

2. Primary Crushing
Large chunks of iron ore are fed into primary crushers, such as jaw or gyratory crushers, to reduce their size to manageable pieces (typically 6–8 inches). This step ensures optimal efficiency in subsequent grinding and separation processes.

3. Secondary and Tertiary Crushing
The crushed ore undergoes further size reduction through cone crushers or impact crushers, producing finer particles (around 0.5–1 inch). Screening equipment separates oversized material for re-crushing while allowing properly sized ore to proceed downstream.

4. Dry Screening and Classification
